Ladies Who Really Lunch: Allie Beth Allman, Former First Lady Laura Bush and Cokie Roberts

scan0002 low resIn between handling the biggest residential sales of the year and growing her real estate firm, Allie Beth Allman  has put together a debut-type lunch for this year’s A Conversation With a Living Legend Luncheon with former First Lady Laura Bush (pictured with Pierce and Allie Beth Allman) as the featured guest on Friday, September 18, at the Hilton Anatole.

And why not? After all, Allie Beth orchestrated the purchase of the Bushes’ home on Daria, which the lovely and ever-vigilant Candy “Dallas Dirt Darling” Evans broke to the world last year.

Chatting it up on stage with the former first lady will be journalist and best selling author Cokie Roberts, who is married to fellow journalist Steve Roberts. She also just happens to be the daughter of former ambassador and Louisiana’s long-time Democratic Congresswoman Lindy Boggs and the late Hale Boggs, who was also a Louisiana Democratic Congressman, as well as the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. 

Needless to say, both Cokie and Laura will be able to compare notes on life in a political family bubble.
